Our background and expertise
In December 2022, we made a bold decision to leave our established careers in law and estate management to cycle across the world. This choice was not made lightly but was a culmination of our 43-year relationship, where we navigated many life transitions together. Beverley began in banking before moving into family law and co-founding a family law firm. After a decade in design and project management, Julian launched a property maintenance business and later became Estates Director at an independent school. We sought something more significant than merely working towards retirement. Without making a bold decision to embark on our cycling venture, we would have stayed in our comfort zone, stayed in our safe-space of work and lifestyle. We desired time and space to shape our next chapter and aspired to live our latter years with freedom and activity rather than the typical office life we had.
We wanted to slowly explore the world through travel and to meet new people, helping us to envision a different next chapter of our lives. We sought the freedom to make our own choices without being confined by others' expectations.
